Cultural factors and the success of your business
Entering new markets often fails not because of the product or technology, but due to underestimating cultural differences. Leadership styles, decision-making processes, communication, and local business etiquette – each of these factors can determine success or failure.
During a webinar focused on the importance of cultural awareness in business, experts from Poland and Sweden shared practical examples and real-life case studies.
In the panel “Lessons from real-life cases about the importance of adapting to the local business culture,” Bartosz Pastuszka, CEO of NaviRisk, emphasized how preparing teams and organizations for cultural differences is key to the success of international projects.
Other panelists included: Sofia Albrecht, Associate Partner, EY; Aleksandra F. Eriksen, Founder & Owner, THE NOR-WAY; Natalia Folga-Camilotto, Tax and Payroll Specialist; Małgorzata Musińska-Kubis, Certified Coach Business & Intercultural Competencies, Global Category Manager / Transport and Logistics, Qemetica; Katarzyna Sarba, Expert on B2B Marketing & Go-To Market Strategies, markeTH!NK; Victoria Rentzhog, Founder & CEO, Accello.
The experiences shared by the panelists clearly show that successful international expansion requires not only strategy and products but, most importantly, an understanding of the people you work with.
The webinar was moderated by Jacek Ziolkowski, Vice Chairman, Swedish-Polish Chamber of Commerce.
