“Transatlantic Defense Tech” in Warsaw
Defence innovation is advancing rapidly, but many technologies still face challenges moving from pilot phases to operational capability. This topic was at the heart of the international event “Transatlantic Defense Tech”, hosted in Warsaw by Baker McKenzie, R+ VC, and RAINCLOUD DEFENSE.
The event brought together experts, defence industry leaders, and investors to discuss opportunities and challenges in implementing new technologies. Panelists included:
- John Nicholson, General, U.S. Army (Ret.) – former NATO commander in Afghanistan
- James Chiswell – former British Army General and SAS commander
- Philip Bednarczyk – German Marshall Fund
- Claas Carsten Kohl – Airbus Ventures
- Callan Carpenter – Skydio
- Matt A. Hill – Hypersonix Launch Systems
Bartosz Pastuszka, CEO of NaviRisk, also participated in the event, taking part in informal discussions and networking with industry and investment representatives.
