NaviRisk at ASIS Europe 2026

From 23–25 March 2026, Antwerp hosted ASIS Europe 2026, one of the leading European events dedicated to business security, risk management, organisational resilience and cybersecurity. Organised by ASIS International, the conference once again brought together more than 1,000 security leaders and risk professionals from over 50 countries, creating a platform for discussing how organisations can effectively move “from risk to resilience” in an increasingly complex operating environment.

This year’s edition clearly demonstrated that security is no longer seen as a purely protective function, but is increasingly recognised as a strategic capability—one that enables organisations not only to respond to threats, but to anticipate disruption, adapt, and build long-term resilience. Key topics included geopolitical instability, the evolution of hybrid threats, the convergence of physical and cyber security, and the growing role of emerging technologies, including AI, in risk management. The importance of risk culture and its impact on strategic decision-making and the positioning of security within organisations was also strongly emphasised.

With more than 50 sessions, workshops and expert panels, the programme combined strategic perspectives with practical insights. Particularly noteworthy were real-world examples of implementing innovative solutions in complex environments—such as the keynote by Erwin Verstraelen from the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, who demonstrated how technologies like drones, smart surveillance systems and AI-driven analytics are already being deployed to manage one of Europe’s most critical logistics hubs.

ASIS Europe is not only about knowledge, but also about relationships. The event remains one of the key networking platforms for the global security community, enabling direct exchange of experience, benchmarking of approaches, and the development of international partnerships. The presence of numerous technology providers and advisory firms further highlighted how rapidly the market for security and risk solutions is evolving.

As every year, NaviRisk was represented at the conference by Bartosz Pastuszka, CEO, and Tomasz Kapuściński, Vice President and Head of Intelligence & Due Diligence. Their presence also had an institutional dimension—as representatives of the leadership of ASIS Poland Chapter, they actively contributed to the development of the international security community and strengthening the role of the Polish chapter in the global dialogue.

This year’s edition took place in Antwerp—a city with a long-standing tradition in trade and finance, providing a symbolic backdrop for discussions on modern risk and security challenges. One of the highlights of the networking programme was the dinner held at the historic Handelsbeurs, the world’s first purpose-built stock exchange. As early as the 16th century, merchants gathered there to exchange information and manage risk—an idea that continues today within the modern security community.

ASIS Europe is held in a different European city each year, reflecting the evolving priorities and challenges of the security profession. The next edition will take place in Liverpool, UK, on 3–5 March 2027. For NaviRisk, participation in this event is not only an opportunity to follow key trends, but also to actively contribute to shaping the future of security and resilience on an international level.
